I went to London for a three day seminar about Usability. To not fly in on the same morning, i took the flight the day before, right in time to see the Champions league final in a local pub. Was a nice experience :)
The first Seminar was about "Fundamental Guidelines for Web Usability", and was a quite interesting theme. But i wasn't the only one attending, therefore it was huge room with about 250 participants ..
Right after the seminar i used the opportunity to be in London for a sightseeing trip. The easiest way is to hop on a Tourist bus .. so did i. On this bus i met the already mentioned girls, and together we enjoyed the ride.
In a nice restaurant near my Hotel, the dinner was very good. So, the first day was something to remember :)
The second seminar was about "Intranet Usability I", but i already knew a lot, so that was a little boring. So i sneaked out of the seminar a hour earlier to see more of London. with the Underground a went to the Tower Bridge, and from there all the way back along the River Thames.
Somewhere between i went to the IMAX, because of the huge size of its screen (20 meters high) and the new Film "Speed Racer" which was actually not that bad.
The rest of they way back along the South bank was very nice.
The last day was dedicated to "Intranet Usability II" and was a lot more interesting than the day before.
